Welcome to our last blog post for the month of July! As fall starts to approach closer and closer, camping enthusiasts begin to go into full camping mode. This means a lot of prep and planning for trips! Also, around this time of year, we tend to see a lot of first-time campers or new camping enthusiasts.
Prioritize your Essentials
Many times, we see enthusiasts packing way more than they need. As they say, it’s always nice to over-prepare rather than under-prepare. While this is true, over-preparing can take up a lot of extra space in an already confined space. We recommend using your first camping experience as a benchmark to find out what you really need while on your adventures. Do you tend to like to relax at the campground most of the trip or continue to travel around once set up? These are the questions you will need to think of when preparing for that next trip. What activities will you be participating in (hiking, canoeing, bike riding, etc.)?
This can seem overwhelming at times, but we pride ourselves on being a source to lean on here at Stellhorn RV & Camping Center. Don’t know where or what essentials you will need? We have you covered with an educated staff and products to fit your everyday camping needs. We currently offer our “Platinum Kit” which is a great purchase for any new or experienced camping enthusiast. This kit comes with many essentials including stuff as simple as toilet paper or even sewer hoses and wheel chocks.
Maintain Appliances and Systems
An important preparation task for camping is ensuring everything works. This is not as much of an essential for a new purchase of an RV. However, you will want to make sure you know how to work everything on your new RV. Every year manufacturers are constantly improving and changing units year by year with newer technology. This means it is essential to stay up to date with your new functions when you purchase a new RV. If you have an older RV, we recommend you have inspections done by professionals to ensure everything is working properly and is in good condition. We have you covered in this area with our service department at Stellhorn RV. We offer a FREE courtesy 23-point inspection that goes over all essential appliances and systems in an RV. Maintenance is key when purchasing an RV and can keep you from difficult situations while far away from home.
Have Fun
The last thing we recommend doing while on your next adventure is HAVE FUN. We know camping can come with its challenges and stressful times however it is important to remember to enjoy this earth we are blessed to have. There are so many campgrounds across the country and globe offering endless opportunities for exploration. If you are reading this, we at Stellhorn RV hope you have a great next camping trip with many memories that last a lifetime.
